She said: “I started in 2018 at the University of South Africa for my Bachelors of Education, which was a four year course and I am currently studying my post graduate qualifications specialising in languages. I have obtained 34 distinctions, which made up majority of the modules in the Bachelors of Education qualification as the course was made up of 40 modules.”

Muthusami said it was an extremely hard to juggle working and studying, however she set a goal for herself and remained positive in her pursuit of her dream.

She said: “Working and studying full time was exhausting. I had minimal sleep and worked tirelessly during the day. I burnt the midnight oil and extensively tried to understand the content to excel in the manner I have. My support system was my family, they encouraged me to keep going and to achieve my goals.”

She added: “I hope to motivate people to never give up on their dream regardless of their challenges, financial status or family issues. Education is a key that opens many doors and we must invest in order to reap the benefits. One day you will live to enjoy the benefits. Challenges are always short lived it’s how you respond that will really matter.”

We should ensure we make a difference in the professional society and impact the future women generation to be extraordinary,” she said.

Muthusami added that all thanks go to God and her immediate family, for their undivided support through her journey.
