February 14 is commonly known as Valentine’s Day, a day when people show their affection for their loved ones by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love. A Clare Estate based couple who have been married for ten years said Valentine’s Day is everyday for them as they celebrate each other on a daily basis.
Lovebirds, Tarryn (34) and Ashley Debideen (45) said they met on social media ten years ago and they have kept the fire burning since then.
“A few months after we met, he proposed on a boat cruise and I said yes. From the beginning of our journey, I knew that we were meant to be. Ashley is my soul mate, my best friend and my biggest supporter. I love him very much,” said Tarryn.
The mother of two said that doing activities together is what keeps their love strong.
“Spending quality time together, whether it’s a date night or just enjoying each other’s company helps strengthen the bond between us. We enjoy going hiking, movies, eating out and exercising together. The secret to our love is the respect we have for each other. It is important to respect your differences in a relationship,” said she said.
Tarryn added that she will spend Valentine’s Day with her husband, and their two sons, Vihaan 9 and Ayush 6.
“We will be cooking all our favourites meals as we all believe that a meal prepared together at home with love is way better than eating out,” she said.
