South Coast crashes leave 19 people injured

A recent accident on the R620 in Oslo Beach left one casualty with serious injuries when two vehicles collided.

Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the scene and spokesperson, Craig Botha, said: “When emergency services arrived they found that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one patient had sustained serious injuries. The patient was treated on the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.”

Meanwhile, in a separate crash, a taxi and a bakkie collided with multiple casualties near Hibberdene. “When emergency services arrived, they found that a bakkie and taxi had been involved in a collision. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 18 patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. The patients were treated on the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment,” said Botha.
