It was volley of action over the past weekend for the Chatsworth Tennis Club (CTC) which held its annual President’s Cup Tournament on Saturday, 10 April.
In a court full of action, the tournament was played in the Davis Cup team format, whereby they had two teams comprising six players each. Club president, Brian Nair, said the weather was glorious on the day and that all games were played in a cordial and harmonious atmosphere. “After a wonderful two rounds of competitive, enjoyable and resilient tennis the tournament was concluded with team B, led by captain Sachim Ramsunder, announced as the winners,” Nair said.
The B-team was made up of Ricky Moodley, Sachin Ramsunder, Mark Pillay, Sunjay Ramsunder, Kaitlyn Reddy and Anand Sunderpersad. The tournament was brought to a close with a post-match presentation where the winners were presented with the President’s Cup and the team members were presented with gift vouchers.
