Matrics ready for finals

Grade 12 learners at Bufflesdale Secondary School and their teacher feeling confident ahead of National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams

‘You may begin’, these are the words that every Grade 12 learner will be anticipating as they commence with their final National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, on 31 October after 13 long years of studying.

The Class of 2022 at Buffelsdale Secondary School, which is situated in Tongaat, will be among the 191 000 KwaZulu-Natal learners who will be joining scores of their peers across the country as they begin the final leg of their basic education journey. The Department of Basic Education (DBE) confirmed that 923 460 learners , full-time and part-time, enrolled for the National Senior Certificate exams for 2022. Bufflesdale Secondary, educators said they know that their learners will make their school proud as they have been eagerly anticipating and preparing for the final examinations. Ms J Naidoo, said she feels proud to see how far the Class of 2022 has come, with perseverance and strength.

She said: “They have been a pleasure to teach over the years. I sincerely know that they will make us proud with their diligence. I send out positive energy and a multitude of blessings to all matriculants at Buffelsdale Secondary, as well as the rest of the country.” Mrs ZP Dhlomo, said: “It’s really admirable watching our children come this far. They have worked tirelessly. Our Grade 12’s have made serious efforts and sacrifice to ensure that they are well-prepared for the final examinations.” A very proud, Mrs S Nadas said: “It has been a real struggle especially with the many challenges faced in the past three years. We are indeed proud of our learners for having reached this chapter. We wish you well in the upcoming examination and pray that you achieve every success in your future endeavours,” said Nadas.

Grade 12 learner of Buffelsdale Secondary, Letalia Munsami, who has been working hard in preparing for her final examinations, said, “What a challenge this year has been. Busy days and weekends. We are focussing on academic work as much as possible. After completing out trial examination, preparation continues towards our final papers ending our schooling career. It’s going to be tough and we will do the best we can.” The results for the Class of 2022 will be released on 19 January, for national and provincial on 20 January 2023.
