Acting Vice Chancellor and principal of Mangosuthu University of Technology, Professor Marcus Ramogale, announced the tragic death of Dwarika via a press statement and spoke of the Electrical Engineering lecturer’s dedication and commitment to his students.
Prof Ramogale said: “I wish to reiterate that Mr Dwarika has dedicated his whole life with an intention on making an impact in the lives of the Historically Disadvantaged communities in many ways. Having been with MUT for 26 years, driving to campus every day from Verulam and staying afterwards for consultations with his students who are the same age as his abductors, is a travesty and tragedy to the future of this country.”
“I would like to inform the family, staff and students that our Counseling Department has volunteered to offer psychological counseling to everyone who wishes to be assisted. The University will be visiting the family as soon as possible,” he added.
