A case of murder is being investigated by the Ladysmith SAPS after a man was stabbed to death during a robbery on Forbes Street just after midnight on Sunday, 28 November.
The man was walking towards the CBD with friends when they were cornered by three men armed with knives, who demanded cash and their cellphones. The victim refused and started wrestling his knife-wielding attacker before he was stabbed to death. The suspects fled the scene on foot. No arrests have been made. Other members in the group who had been walking home together wept in shock as their friend was declared dead on the scene.
