The National List Committee of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) is delighted to announce that they have successfully submitted the party’s National and Provincial Election (NPE) lists for the 2024 elections to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC).
To demonstrate their readiness, the IFP launched its helicopter, which will fly the party’s flag in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng for the next three months until election day on 29 May.
The helicopter launched on Friday 08 March, at Virginia Airport, with IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa, his national campaign committee and MPs in attendance.
The flag features the faces of the late founder, Inkosi Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and President Hlabisa as well as a message that will change periodically with different slogans such as “#WeWorkForYou” or “Trust Us”.
National Elections Campaign chairperson, Narend Singh, said that the IFP will compete in all nine provinces and he believes that if enough votes are secured, it will signal the birth of a new era.
In preparation for their 2024 Elections Manifesto at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 10 March, the IFP hosted a pre-manifesto gala dinner at the Durban ICC on Friday 8 March, and a media briefing on the party’s state of readiness on Saturday, 9 March.
