In a world where fear sometimes overshadows childhood joy, the Daniella Simone Kiesha (DSK) Group has committed itself to addressing the pressing issue of bullying that impacts countless young boys and girls.

The non-profit organisation is dedicated to breaking this cycle and fostering a supportive environment where all youth feel safe and valued. With a mission to combat bullying culture, the DSK Group focuses on education and awareness, aiming to illuminate the profound effects bullying can have on its victims.

Mrs Shanal Balkaran, a prominent advocate for this initiative, emphasised the importance of addressing the root causes of bullying.

“The core reasons for bullying vary between communities and cultures. We at the DSK Group are committed to tackling these tough issues and fostering open dialogue to encourage positive change. As we reflect on Bertrand Russell’s poignant observation about human behaviour: ‘I found one day in school a boy of medium size ill-treating a smaller boy. I expostulated, but he replied: ‘The bigs hit me, so I hit the babies; that’s fair.’ In these words, he epitomised the history of the human race.” This quote underscores the enduring nature of bullying and the need for a proactive approach to address it,” said Balkaran.

As part of their ongoing bullying campaign, DSK Group, in collaboration with Sister Naidoo from the Department of Health, has already begun implementing their program in schools across Phoenix and Tongaat.

“Our goal is to extend this initiative to many more schools across the North Coast, creating a ripple effect of change and understanding. Together, we can build a future where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to stand against bullying. Join us in making a difference in our communities and shaping a brighter tomorrow for our youth,” said Balkaran.

The DSK Group invites schools interested in participating in their campaign to join them in making a difference. Together, they can create a future where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to stand against bullying.
