As Mandela Day 2025 approaches, Tafta – The Association for the Aged – is calling on businesses, schools, community groups, and caring individuals to help bring dignity, comfort, and joy to the elderly residents who once paved the way for us all.

For 67 years, Tafta has been a pillar of love and support for senior citizens in Durban. Now, in the true spirit of Madiba, it’s time for the community to give back. From small comforts like crockery and curtains to essential equipment like wheelchairs, hand dryers, CCTV cameras, and even compost for the gardens, each item on this year’s Mandela Day Wish List will make a world of difference to an elder in need.
