A vigilant resident from Wavemore Complex in Grove End acted quickly and reported an incident which led to stolen goods being recovered but sadly, the suspect fled, on Sunday.
KZN VIP spokesperson, Gareth Naidoo, said: “The KZN VIP Command Centre received a panic alert from a client in Wavemore Complex. The client reported seeing a man pushing a baby pram with a large flat screen TV and a whole lot of goodies. VIP members responded as the burglar was about to enter a bush. On spotting the VIP members, he dropped everything and fled into the bush.”
Naidoo said that the suspect could not be located. The recovered items were handed back to the lawful owner who was delighted to have the stolen goods back. “We commend the client who reported the incident for being alert and acting quickly,” Naidoo said.
