Elegance, ambition and entrepreneurial instinct define Miashca Naidoo, whose graduation with a Bachelor of Commerce in Digital Marketing at Vega Durban marks the beginning of a promising career within branding, business and the digital media landscape.

Raised within the entrepreneurial environment of her family’s business, The Baking Pan, Naidoo was exposed from an early age to the realities of business ownership, from customer engagement and brand identity to the discipline required to build and sustain a respected brand. Those formative experiences would later shape both her professional outlook and her growing passion for digital communication and marketing.

“Watching my family work so hard for what they built inspired me tremendously. Our dinner table conversations often revolved around business. I saw the amount of dedication and sacrifice that goes into maintaining a successful business, and that naturally influenced the way I approach my own goals,” said Naidoo.

Now graduating with a qualification that merges strategy, creativity and consumer insight, Naidoo has emerged as a young professional with both academic grounding and practical business exposure already firmly established. Throughout her studies, she balanced the demands of university alongside active involvement in business, modelling and personal branding initiatives, experiences which collectively refined her understanding of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

For Naidoo, digital marketing represented the ideal fusion between creativity and commerce.

“My dream is to work with major international and local brands, creating campaigns that are innovative, trendsetting, and unforgettable. I always joke that I’m going to be the “Emily in Paris” of South Africa- bringing creativity, strategy, fashion, digital culture, and big ideas together in a way that feels fresh and exciting. I want my work to inspire people, influence trends, and leave a lasting impression in the marketing and media industry,” she explained.

Her growing involvement within the branding and digital space has enabled her to cultivate a professional identity characterised by sophistication, adaptability and intention, qualities increasingly valuable within today’s competitive media environment. Despite the pressures accompanying a multifaceted schedule, Naidoo remained focused on maintaining balance and consistency throughout her academic journey.

“There were definitely challenging moments where balancing everything became overwhelming, but I kept reminding myself of the reasons I am where I am. I’ve learnt that growth comes from discipline, resilience and being willing to keep going even during difficult periods,” she said.

She credits much of her motivation and perseverance to the unwavering support of her family.

“My family has always encouraged me to believe in myself and pursue opportunities fearlessly while still remaining grounded. Having that support system gave me confidence throughout my studies and continues to motivate me moving forward,” said Naidoo.

As she enters the next phase of her career, Naidoo hopes to continue expanding within the fields of digital marketing, branding and entrepreneurship while building a legacy rooted in creativity, innovation and authenticity. Naidoo is currently studying her Honours degree, a Bachelor of Commerce in Management at Eduvos Durban North, and said she hopes to complete her MBA someday.

“I want to continue evolving, learning and creating meaningful work that reflects who I am. This graduation is a huge milestone for me, but it’s also only the beginning of everything I still want to accomplish,” she said.
