With the second phase of Covid-19 vaccinations being rolled out for the elderly, The Association for the Aged (Tafta) marked a historical moment in their fight against the coronavirus. The Department of Health visited a few Tafta homes on Wednesday, 19 May, to administer the Covid-19 vaccines to the elderly staff and caregivers.
Femada Shamam, CEO of Tafta said: “Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout arrived quite swiftly and our elders were eager and relieved to be vaccinated against the virus that has affected the entire world. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude go out to the Department of Health, who expressed such care and compassion for our elders. Congratulations to all who received their vaccination today. We hope that this milestone in history brings us closer to a happier and healthier future.”
