The Aurora Hands of Hope (AHOH) NPO and the Sharks Foundation brought a day of inspiration and community upliftment to learners at John Dube High School in KwaMashu’s C Section on Tuesday, 4 August.
The initiative gave children an opportunity to meet and interact with Sharks players, creating moments of excitement and joy for the learners. The children’s enthusiasm was evident as they laughed, interacted with the players and created memories that organisers said would leave a lasting impression.
AHOH expressed its appreciation to Tyra Mahomed from the ECTN Foundation, VIP Security and its dedicated team for their support in making the outreach possible.
The organisation also thanked the Sharks Foundation for providing meals for the children and for supporting an initiative aimed at investing in the future of young people. “Together, we are proving that when organisations unite with a shared vision, we don’t just serve meals—we restore hope, inspire dreams, and strengthen communities,” AHOH said.
The outreach highlighted the impact that partnerships between community organisations, foundations and sporting institutions can have on young people and their communities.
