Young Durban south resident, Sameer Dawood (4) is gearing himself up for the upcoming sacred month of Ramadan which is cited to commence on 2 April pending the sighting of the moon.
Ramadan is meant to be a time of spiritual discipline where Muslims draw closer to God through extra prayer, increase their deeds of charity and generosity, and engage in deeper study of the Quran. Muslims across the world eagerly anticipate the holy month of Ramadan as they seek divine blessings with both young and old fasting from sunrise to sunset for the month. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, which is a time of merriment and joy, spent with loved ones.
The management and staff of Tabloid Newspapers would like to wish all Muslim advertisers and readers Ramadan Mubarak. As you fast and offer prayers to God, may you find your peace and happiness.
