A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by the Ladysmith police, after a man was tragically killed, when he was struck by a taxi, whilst crossing the road, this afternoon, 9 September.
Pedestrians who witnessed the accident said that everything happened so fast and the next thing they saw was the man on the ground. Police officials and Public Safety officers had to divert traffic, while awaiting forensic officials to inspect the scene of the crime. The man was declared dead at the scene. The deceased was not officially identified at the time.
