Mystery surrounds the shooting incident which claimed the life of a 45-year-old motorist on the N2 freeway near Park Rynie, on Tuesday.
Scottburgh SAPS communications officer, Captain Adam Francis, said: “SAPS Scottburgh responded to an incident of shooting on the N2 freeway where it is alleged that a motorist was travelling alone on the north-bound lane, near Park Rynie, when he was shot by a vehicle that overtook him. The driver lost control of his vehicle which then veered off the road and overturned.” “The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics and he succumbed to his injuries. A post-mortem will be conducted at Park Rynie Medico Legal Mortuary,” added Capt Francis.
