A Trenance Park business robbery left a man shot after an armed gang stormed a shop and proceeded to the adjoining house where they ransacked the premises and fled with a cellphone after shooting a worker, recently.
According to Phoenix SAPS communications officer, Cpt L Naidoo, the 39-year-old victim was inside the shop with a worker when six men brandishing firearms entered the shop. “The suspects did not demand anything inside the shop. They pulled the victim outside the shop and four suspects proceeded to the house with the worker. Inside the house, the suspects demanded money from the domestic worker. The suspects opened the wardrobe but no money was found inside. One suspect grabbed the iPhone 7plus cellphone, which was on the table. Suddenly, the domestic worker heard a gunshot outside. The suspects had fled scene and the domestic found a worker shot on his arm. He was transported to hospital by private vehicle,” Cpt Naidoo said.
She added, “The suspects were discovered to have fled the scene in a silver Ford Ranger double cab with no canopy. And no registration plates. Phoenix police are investigating the business robbery case.”
