Malvern Park Shopping Centre recently marked a significant milestone with a festive first birthday celebration commemorating one year since the centre officially opened its doors on 30 April 2024.
The two-day extravaganza was a vibrant showcase of entertainment, community spirit, and heartfelt moments — hosted by the charismatic master of ceremonies and comedian, Bash with Tash.
The festivities began with a lively marimba performance, setting the tone for a joyful weekend. Dance showcases by Trivino’s Dance Studios and Rohan Ramkissoon’s Entertainment Spectacular brought energy and flair to the stage. A touching surprise proposal from a shopper to his girlfriend added a magical moment to the celebration, met with cheers and happy tears from the crowd.
The second day kicked off with a powerhouse vocal performance by the talented Ashleigh Joseph. A formal cake-cutting ceremony was held with members of the Malvern Park Centre management team and tenants, symbolising unity and celebration. The excitement continued with live giveaways, interactive games, and enthusiastic crowd engagement. TikTok sensation Nivz Bullyraj wowed audiences with his signature dance moves, while the adorable “Little Ones” of Malvern took to the runway, each receiving prizes courtesy of the shopping centre.
Throughout the weekend, shoppers enjoyed browsing market stalls, indulging in birthday specials from tenants, and soaking in the festive atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of community.
Malvern Park Shopping Centre portfolio manager, Mohil Sewpersad, expressed appreciation, stating: “On behalf of the Malvern Park Centre management team and Mowana Properties, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to all our sponsors who helped make this celebration a resounding success.”
