Eastbury Secondary School’s 42nd anniversary celebration, Legacy Fest, brought the community together in an unforgettable evening of entertainment, unity, and purpose.

Held at the Stanmore Regional Hall, the event was hailed a massive success by attendees, organisers, and performers alike.

The first fundraiser of its kind hosted by the school, Legacy Fest exceeded expectations, raising much-needed funds to enhance Eastbury’s educational facilities and learner development programmes.

The vibrant event was driven by a passionate team of educators and staff who envisioned a celebration that would not only support the school financially but also strengthen community ties. From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was electric. The programme featured a dynamic lineup of performers, including crowd favourites Bash with Tash, The Dingalings, Ashleigh J, Tehillah Faith, and local talents DJ Shazzy and DJ Slyde. The combination of comedy, music, and dance had the audience thoroughly entertained, with laughter, applause, and community spirit echoing throughout the venue.

Bradley O’Neal Munoo, one of the school’s educators and the events coordinator, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support. “Legacy Fest was more than a fundraiser – it was a celebration of Eastbury’s heart and heritage. The turnout, the energy, the generosity, it was all beyond what we imagined. We’re incredibly proud of what we achieved together,” said Munoo.

He highlighted the event’s broader purpose: to bridge funding gaps for areas not fully covered by the Department of Education, including technology upgrades, building maintenance, and wellness initiatives. “This event shows what’s possible when a community rallies together for a common cause. We wanted to invest in the future of our learners and remind our community that Eastbury is more than a school. It’s a home for growth, unity, and excellence,” he said.

“Legacy Fest has laid the foundation for a new tradition – one that honours the past, celebrates the present, and invests in the future of Eastbury Secondary School,” added Munoo.

Eastbury Secondary extended its sincere thanks to all the performers, sponsors, stakeholders, staff, and community members who made Legacy Fest an evening to remember. The school is proud to have celebrated its 42-year legacy with an event that truly captured the spirit of togetherness and forward-thinking.
