INCHANGA: The body of a missing person was found at the bottom of a cliff in Inchanga on Monday, October 5, during a joint search operation, with a suspect arrested in connection with the death.
The search was launched after SAPS requested assistance from Magma Security and Investigations to help locate the missing person.
The operation involved teams from PMB Crime Intelligence, Mountain Rise SAPS, Inchanga SAPS, Durban K9 Search and Rescue, Pietermaritzburg Search and Rescue, and Magma Security and Investigations.
The missing person’s body was located at the base of a cliff and recovered by Search and Rescue teams.
According to Magma Security and Investigations, the matter is being investigated as murder.
A suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, October 7, facing charges of murder, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.
The allegations against the suspect have not been tested in court.
