The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) together with the SAI Ladysmith Sundaram organisation held a Heritage Day Blood Drive at the blood clinic. Hard work paid off for the organisation, who had set their mark on 12 donors, but managed to obtain over 42. SANBS would like to thank the organisation for their help in making this Heritage Blood Drive a bleeding success.
In order to become more accessible to blood donors, SANBS have extended their operating times to include Sundays for the month of October. “We are asking donors, old and new, to please support the SANBS and with the extended hours to accommodate one and all.” You can donate blood if you are between the ages of 16-75, weigh more than 50kg, lead a safe lifestyle, commit to donate blood regularly and eat a meal or snack before donating. Please head down to the Ladysmith branch situated in the San Marco Centre.
