Colenso residents are concerned about an exposed electrical pole that is on the corner of School Lane and Mitchell Street.
“The wire exposed pole broke off and has been like this for at least a few days now,” said one of the residents, who had called The Ladysmith Herald. Their major concern is that the pole is in front of the back gate of Colenso Primary School and that some learners take this route home. “I don’t know if the pole and the wire are dangerous, but it should be fixed,” said the caller. Residents in the area have contacted Alfred Duma Municipality to repair the pole, but have had no response.
