A motorist had to be freed from his vehicle using the Jaws of Life after a roll-over crash on the N2 south bound near Spaghetti Junction on Monday.
Netcare 911 responded to the collision and reported that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control resulting in multiple roll-overs. Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Shawn Herbst said, “When medics arrived on scene, they found an adult believed to be in his thirties in a critical condition, trapped inside the car. A Netcare 911 rescue technician was called to the scene and used the Jaws of Life to free the man from the wreckage. An emergency care practitioner, used advanced life support techniques to stabilize the man.Once treated, the driver was rushed through to a local hospital for the care he required,” he said.
