Food lovers and culture enthusiasts are in for a treat as the highly anticipated eThekwini Kota Festival prepares to take over Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 6 June at 10am to 10pm.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to arrive dressed in the official theme: Ezase Mzansi – Modern Bhinca, celebrating a bold, contemporary South African-inspired dress code that reflects the spirit of the event.

The festival promises a vibrant celebration of local flavour, music, and community spirit, bringing together some of KwaZulu-Natal’s best kota vendors for a day packed with delicious food and lively entertainment.

Known for its bold flavours and street-food appeal, the kota remains one of South Africa’s most loved meals, and organisers say the festival aims to showcase the creativity and cultural significance behind the iconic dish.

Visitors can expect a festive atmosphere filled with live performances, entertainment, and a variety of local food experiences that celebrate Durban’s rich and diverse culture.
