The Crystal Tyron Production’s (CTP) Women’s Month CTP empowerment and mentorship breakfast, held at the Aha Gateway Hotel on Tuesday, 5 August , was a vibrant celebration of women’s empowerment. The event’s theme, “Lift as You Rise,” was accompanied by a powerful message: “Empower women empower women.”

CTP specialises in production and offers services in community, organisation, financial, business, professional, and personal empowerment. However, in commemoration of Women’s Month, the organisation focused specifically on women’s empowerment during this event. Guests were treated to inspiring stories, practical strategies, and an atmosphere filled with possibilities.

Crystal Tyron-Smith, the keynote speaker and founder of CTP, highlighted the event’s theme, quoting the late social justice icon Thuli Madonsela. Tyron-Smith said: “Lift as you rise. It’s not just a saying, it’s a responsibility.” Tyron-Smith is also a qualified vocal coach with over 20 years of experience in the media, communication, and broadcasting industry. She believes the breakfast left attendees with “renewed confidence, strengthened networks, and a clear call to action, which is to take new territory and help others do the same.”

Tankiso Mabotha, a People Development Consultant, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for women and youth employment, shared her perspective on the CTP Empowerment Network. She said: “The CTP Empowerment Network, is my journey to remind us that true success means reaching back and lifting others as we rise.” Mabotha is the founder of Talentology Human Capital and Growth XL, a platform focused on unlocking opportunities through training, mentorship, and access to SETA funding.

Nokwe Nxaba, a renowned poet and global speaker, was one of the attendees. She said that these empowerment platforms are “critical for women’s economic empowerment.” Nxaba added: “I have been motivated into action, ready and equipped for my next.”
