The Milisa Foundation is assisting the Centre of Hope with blankets and other essentials to make their living conditions more bearable

The Melisa Foundation has been striving towards making positive changes wherever possible. Thembeka Mangaliso together with the foundation’s partners, Thuli Msibi and Nokuthula Mathenjwa, came across the Centre of Hope and were deeply saddened that they did not have much for those who call the place home.

“We came across Centre of Hope and when we saw the living conditions we decided to donate 20 blankets and then we went back again to donate clothing and masks. We are basically going to make this centre our current project. We have a list of items which are needed,” said Mangaliso. She explained that the centre currently houses 17 children from newborns to 19 years of age. “In total there are 36 people who live there and this includes those who are living with disabilities and senior citizens who have been abandoned by their families,” she said. The foundation is appealing to community members who may have any clothes or blankets to spare to please contact them on 079-999-5833. Every donation, big or small, will be highly appreciated.
