The bond between Montford mom, Therona Pillay, and her daughter, Kiara Pillay, will be strengthened this weekend as the duo prepares to celebrate Mother’s Day, on Sunday, with love and joy while making long-lasting and fun memories.
For eight-year-old Kiara, the day will be extra special as she considers her mother to be a “super mom”. “My mom is not just a regular mom, she showers me with the love of both a mother and a father and that is why she is my super mom! I think that Mother’s Day is a really special day and I look forward to it the most because I get to spend it with my best friend.” As a single mother, Pillay said that filling Kiara’s life with fun memories gives her an immense feeling of joy and fulfillment. “When you become a mother, your priority becomes your child and all I could ever hope for is for my child to look back on life feeling loved in every moment we shared,” she said.
The pair will be spending the day at a park and encouraged all mothers and daughters to create special memories with each other, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic has robbed many families of celebrating this day. “To those people who are not as fortunate to physically spend this day with their beloved moms, rest assured knowing that they are smiling down on you from heaven. “The love of a mother is everlasting and eternal and that is what keeps her alive in you.”
The management and staff of the Chatsworth Tabloid together with Therona and Kiara Pillay wish all our readers a very happy Mother’s Day.
