It was a tragic start to the weekend when an alleged domestic dispute ended in bloodshed and death claiming the life of a woman in her 40s, while a man, also in his 40s, was found stabbed and rushed to hospital under police guard, during the early hours of Saturday morning, 26 July.
ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls for medical assistance required in Finfoot Road in Woodlands, Yellowwood Park, south of Durban.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson said: “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS already in attendance and were escorted into the house where they found a horrific site.
It is alleged that a domestic dispute occurred and a female in her late forties had been stabbed multiple times leaving her fatally injured.”
He added: “Paramedics found a male also in his forties with multiple stab wounds to his body. He was in a serious condition and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize him on scene before he was transported under police guard to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.”
According to Jamieson, the exact circumstances leading up to the stabbing are unknown and will be further investigated by SAPS.
