You are still in mayor’s chains, because of us, because you were enabled by our Indian votes, entrusted to equally greedy, self-serving, faulty Indian leadership, resulted in bringing you and the ANC, back to selfish, prejudicial and absolute racial power once again!
Shame on those unscrupulous Indian leaders from the Minority Front, ADeC, MOSA, DLC and Al Jammah, for throwing us under the bus again! As the ‘face and the leader’ of the ANC leadership, you have not replied to my emails and personally hand-delivered letters to you/City Hall, since replacing Zandile Gumede. You have made a mockery of your position as ANC Mayor, closing doors to us Indians, citizens of Durban, who have unresolved land and housing issues, for over 27 years, with our lands stolen by the NP.
Now in the greedy, tight clutches of the ANC and in your hands! Mike Lipschitz, late Mayor of Durban from the NP White leadership, gave me an audience at his City Hall office in 1994. Two years later, IFP Mayor, Johannes Mille, invited me to his Mayoral Office, Embassy Building, in both instances to air our Indian land issues with them. Every African mayor from the inception, including Obed Mlaba, James Nxumalo, Zandile Gumede and yourself, has shut the door on our faces. Is it because we are Indian?
Yet sadly after Rajbansi sold the Indian Minority Front votes to the ANC, to bringing us to our knees, landless, jobless and poor under Affirmative Action and ANC style racism.
You have continuously defied our Constitution and council’s Land Policy of 2000 and refused to sit, negotiate and assist us Indians. Yet this is done freely for your African brethren and voters. Obviously, we are not your brothers and you are not our keepers. Perhaps only to the Vivian Reddys, Roy Moodleys and the other Indian sycophants who are your benefactors! Complaints against your imported from Gauteng Head of Real Estate Department, Thapelo Mmusinyane on his non-responses, have made you more silent. Isn’t he answerable to us Indian residents, citizens, ratepayers? Thirty-five years ago you were a teenager in Inanda, witnessed Indian land owners being killed, chased out of their homes, land, farms in Inanda and Riet River. Today it’s Africans only at Inanda and Amaoti. Where is the justice for our Indian people, victims at the hands of your people?
When are you going to finally assist the Indian former land owners/ claimants from Inanda, Riet River, Glen Anil, Durban North, Riverside, Overport, Sydenham, Cato Manor, Clairwood, Puntans Hill, Newlands, Clairwood etc, to get their own/ alternate claimed lands back or decent payments? We are aged 58 to 85 and can’t wait for your five-year term!
