
Two people died in a head-on collision on Inanda Road in Waterfall, on Saturday, 14 August.
Emer-G-Med paramedics spokesperson, Kyle van Reenan said upon arrival on scene paramedics were met with carnage as a light motor vehicle and a light delivery vehicle were found to have collided head on. “Two people were found in a critical condition and were attended to by a private ambulance service. One male of approximately forty years of age was in a critical condition and resuscitation efforts were attempted by
Emer-G-Med advanced life support practitioners, however they were unsuccessful, and he was declared deceased on the scene,” Van Reenen said. He added that the second victim was airlifted to hospital where he subsequently passed away. The cause of the collision is unclear, however, local SAPS who were on scene are investigating further.
