Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) have arrested a couple wanted for the brutal murder of a 34-year-old father, Doctor William Mputhi, who was hacked to death with a sickle on Saturday evening.
The attack took place at approximately 6.30 PM on Mputhi’s driveway in Shakas Head, KwaZulu-Natal, with his six-year-old daughter present. Mputhi was pronounced dead upon arrival at a clinic in Tongaat.
Rusa spokesperson Prem Balram said the couple fled the scene “carrying the blood dripping garden tool, grabbed their three-year-old daughter and disappeared since.”
