The crackdown on drugs in the Phoenix area continues yielding positive results with four arrests and an assortment of drugs seized, on Tuesday.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele, police officers from Phoenix conducted an intelligence driven operation at a well-known drug den in Wareham Place, Westham. She said during the operation, police arrested three suspects who were found in possession of drugs. “The suspects aged between 18 and 46 were found in possession of 650 capsules of heroin. The police then proceeded to Charclay Gardens, in Clayfield, where a 31-year-old male was found in possession of 20 tablets of mandrax and five pieces of cocaine,” Col Mbele said. All four suspects appeared in Verulam Magistrate’s Court.
