The Saved by Grace and Time is Now non-profit organisations recently partnered with the IFP to distribute winter hampers

Local non-profit organisations, Saved by Grace and Time is Now recently partnered with the Inkatha Freedom Party Chatsworth to conduct a hamper distribution that assisted 100 families during this winter season.

The Saved by Grace President, Keshnee Maistry provided the hampers to the organisations which was donated by the Gift of the Givers.

She said: “More than a hundred families received food hamper groceries that could sustain them for a while. There is such a great need in our community. Many homes cannot afford daily supplies due to the cost of living at present. Our society has an alarming number of unemployed individuals combined with pensioners who just cannot survive considering the huge utility bills that they receive.”

Pastor Selvan Govender IFP Area Manager Chatsworth and President of the Time Is Now NPO said that the organisations were grateful to Maistry for the hampers.

He said: “As the IFP we provided storage space, labour, transport and distribution. We took care of all the logistics. Partnering with other organisations meant reaching more families that were in need. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Gift of the Givers for the amazing work that they do in reaching out to the needy. We will continue to assist and partner with organisations that will benefit our community. Once again, thank you and God bless to all that were involved in making this a successful community drive.”
