As couples around the world prepare to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Shaista and Dhiren Hansraj of Brookdale, Phoenix, are reflecting on a love story that began with a simple connection and flourished into a lifelong partnership.
The journey began in February 2015. After they started talking and later began dating, Shaista quickly realised that Dhiren was someone special. His natural humour, honesty, and authenticity set him apart, and it was not long before their connection deepened into lasting love.
Two years later, on 31 March 2017, the couple made their lifelong commitment to each other. Today, nearly nine years into their marriage, they say their bond is stronger than ever. Together, they have built a loving home and are raising three children, whom they describe as “the heartbeat of our home.”

Like any real love story, theirs has not been without challenges. The couple told the Phoenix Tabloid that their marriage has been shaped by patience, faith, effort, and the daily decision to choose one another.
“We’ve learned that love lives in the small, intentional moments,” said Mrs Hansraj. “It’s in the good-morning messages, the late-night conversations when the house is quiet, our shared faith journey, surprise dates, and peaceful drives that remind us why we fell in love.”
Communication, loyalty, and showing up for one another have been the pillars of their relationship. Mrs Hansraj describes her husband as more than a life partner—he is her best friend, her safe place, and her constant support through every season of life. Conversely, Mr Hansraj described his wife as his greatest support, the heart of their family, and the person who keeps their home filled with love.
Together, they have created a home filled with laughter and warmth, where their children see love lived out daily through forgiveness, kindness, and unity. This Valentine’s Day, Mrs Hansraj says she is celebrating not only their journey together, but the man who continues to walk beside her.
“Thank you for choosing me, for choosing us, and for loving me so deeply and unconditionally,” she said.
The management and staff of the Phoenix Tabloid wish all our readers and advertisers a happy and love-filled Valentine’s Day.
