
A motorist was left shell-shocked after watching his vehicle burn before his eyes, on Palmview Drive, on Saturday.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on-scene and found the fire spreading rapidly, completely engulfing the white Nissan Sentra. RUSA head, Prem Balram, said: “According to the driver, he suddenly got a strong smell of fuel when smoke started billowing out of the engine compartment. He pulled over to investigate when the car burst into flames. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured.” The blaze was extinguished by the eThekwini Fire Department. The car was completely destroyed.
