Cllr Maharajh also commented on the water leaks in his ward, stating that there is a 1.5% surcharge on water to pay for the many new pipes which money was set aside for many years ago. “We pay heavy rates and we expect service delivery. We cannot be living in these types of conditions where there are constant water leaks and electrical outages,” he added.

The IEC logged in our final score, a whopping 83.82% in favour of the Democratic Alliance! Sincerely looking forward to working with you for the next five years as I have committed for the past two,” expressed Cllr Boleman.

She can be contacted on 082-523-3635.

Residents of Sunningdale, Glen Anil, Glen Hills, Corrovoca, Mount Moriah and Mt Royal voted in Aamir Abdul of the DA for Ward 110. The councillor can be contacted on 067-109-9988. “The Ward 110 community faces a wide array of service delivery challenges from the city on an ongoing basis. This community is made up of developed suburbs such as Sunningdale and under-developed suburbs such as Mount Moriah; who both lack basic service delivery from the municipality in varying degrees. In the coming months, I will host various community engagements as I begin to take audit of all the matters that need to be raised on behalf of my residents and aim to work closely with the municipality and the community to fix Ward 110,” he said.
