The long weekend was marred by violence in the South Coast after a man was found shot on Miami Road in Hibberdene on Saturday night.
Netcare 911 responded to the shooting and spokesperson, Shawn Herbst, said: “Reports indicate that a 31-year-old male who, according to locals, was not a resident in the area, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. The patient was assessed on-scene by an advanced life support paramedic and found to be in a critical condition.”
“The patient was rapidly treated and once stabilised, was transported to hospital for further care. Circumstances leading up to the incident are not known,” added Herbst.
