A 13-year-old Ekuvukeni girl was kidnapped outside her home and raped on 31 May.
A case of kidnapping and rape is being investigated by the police.
Police reported that the teenager was going into her home after using an outside toilet when she was grabbed and taken to her attacker’s house where she was repeatedly raped.
The teen’s kidnapper released her the following day. She immediately informed her family, who had been searching for her. The teenager was taken to St Chad’s Clinic for medical treatment and the matter was reported to the police.
Ekuvukeni police are searching for the suspect and expect to make an arrest soon.
