Durban’s biggest lifestyle and entertainment showcase is back in Durban Exhibition Centre from 27 June to 5 July, promising nine days of shopping, décor inspiration, food, entertainment and family fun during the school holidays.

This year’s theme, “Dream, Create and Live”, will see the exhibition halls transformed into a vibrant lifestyle hub packed with designers, decorators, DIY experts, craftsmen and home specialists showcasing the latest trends and creative ideas.

Show director Lara Bezuidenhout said visitors can expect something for everyone.
“Whether one is searching for the latest international design trends, discovering exciting new products, finding local gems that won’t break the bank, or simply wanting to be entertained, we have something for everyone,” she said.

Families can enjoy giant inflatables, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell in Neverland, roaming entertainers, stilt walkers, hip-hop dancers and quirky attractions including Dolly with her Trolley, described as part AI and part human.

Food lovers will also be spoilt for choice with everything from gourmet burgers and Mexican cuisine to sweet treats, live music and the popular Gin Garden.

The show will feature interactive experiences including celebrity chefs in the Hirsch Test Kitchen, fashion and beauty masterclasses at Edgars’ House of Red, DIY advice from Builders, and exciting competitions with prizes worth thousands of rand.

Visitors can also stand a chance to win camping gear, Nintendo prizes and exclusive Porsche and Smeg hampers, while braai enthusiasts can catch contestants battling it out in The BraaiBoss Challenge on both Saturdays.

The show runs daily from 10am to 9pm, while Sundays close at 8pm. Secure parking will be available at the ICC, Workshop and Centrum sites opposite the Durban Exhibition Centre.
