Child Welfare Chatsworth Charity Fair off to a festive start

The Child Welfare Chatsworth Charity Fair 2025 has officially arrived, with its opening weekend drawing in crowds of all ages eager to enjoy the vibrant festivities.

From sumptuous delights to a star-studded line-up of entertainment, the organisation’s flagship fundraising event warmly welcomed the community and offered something for every member of the family to enjoy.

Among the many visitors were the Ally family, who had a wonderful time taking their little ones out for the day. The children were thrilled by the funfair rides, while the parents indulged in the variety of tasty treats available throughout the fairgrounds.

The atmosphere over the first weekend was electric, with live music from artists including the Qiniso Gospel Choir, Melody Beats Bollywood Fusion and Luxmi Raagam together with dance performances from groups such at House of Naach, Logesan Moodley Dance Academy as well as a live performance by Nagarah Touch keeping crowds entertained well into the evening.

Vendors have also set up stalls, offering handmade delights, delicious food, and unique goods, adding a vibrant marketplace feel to the event.

The organisers, sponsors, and dedicated teams of volunteers are now eagerly preparing for the final weekend of festivities, which will run from Thursday, 1 May, until Sunday, 4 May. They invite all members of the community to come out, support a noble cause.
