Residents are advised that Chatsworth SAPS has implemented a set of new contact numbers after experiencing ongoing technical issues with previously used telephone lines.
According to Sergeant (Sgt) Bongi Dlungwane, speaking on behalf of Station Commander Colonel RT De Villiers, the earlier contact numbers were not functioning reliably, making it difficult for community members to reach the station when needed.
To resolve the issue, assistance from Telkom has resulted in the provision of ten new telephone lines to improve accessibility and ensure uninterrupted communication between the police and the public.
Community members are urged to make use of the updated contact details when reporting crimes, emergencies, or any suspicious activities. Effective communication plays a vital role in enabling police to respond swiftly and efficiently.
Residents are also encouraged to save the new numbers and share them with family members and neighbours to ensure widespread awareness.
