Celebrating World Cappuccino Day on Tuesday, 8 November, Westville resident and Concert Master of the Durban City Orchestra, Jitske Brien was pictured enjoying a rainy afternoon cappuccino in the quaint Hatters Tea Garden in Westville.

Brien said that she was enjoying some quiet time in-between rehearsing for Classical Comedy coming up in a few weeks.  It’s a madcap outrageous  musical comedy collaboration between Macbob Productions and the Durban City Orchestra, which will be at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre to welcome the festive season, from 25 November until 4 December. Brien is inviting residents to attend the show. “Join Durban’s own Aaron Mcilroy and Lisa Bobbert as they boldly go where no right minded comedians should ever venture, the sacred space of The Orchestra. No sonata is sacred. No movement, unmortified. As they migrate from Bach to Beethoven to Bedlam. A musical celebration fit for the whole family, guaranteed to bring a chuckle to Tchaikovsky, a roar to Radetsky and a burp to Brahms!,” she said.
