Cardinal Stars Football Club, a cornerstone of the Stonebridge, Phoenix, community since 2016, is reaching out for sponsorship to support its expanding programmes and community initiatives.
The club is dedicated to providing opportunities for aspiring athletes and has evolved from a small youth league into a full-fledged organisation with teams across various age groups. With a commitment to inclusivity, skill development, and sportsmanship, Cardinal Stars FC has become a beacon of hope for local youth.
Its commitment to inclusivity, skill development, and sportsmanship has made it a beloved institution in the community. However, to continue offering high-quality training and expand its outreach programmes, Cardinal Stars FC seeks financial and material support from local businesses and individuals.
The club’s sponsorship drive aims to secure funding for new equipment, and facility upgrades as well as cater for initiatives that aim to assist the club’s underprivileged players from Phoenix, Mount Moriah, and Mount Royal communities. Cardinal Stars FC invites all interested parties to join their mission of nurturing local talent and building a stronger, healthier community through soccer.
Sharmaine Reddy, the founding member of Cardinal Stars FC, said: “With a roster predominantly consisting of players from economically disadvantaged families, Cardinal Stars FC has successfully created a supportive environment where talent is nurtured and dreams are realised. Our players have incredible potential but many face financial barriers that limit their access to essential soccer resources and opportunities. We are appealing to local businesses, organisations, and individuals to help us bridge this gap. By partnering with Cardinal Stars FC, sponsors will not only contribute to the growth of the sport but also make a lasting impact on the lives of young, talented athletes and their families.”
The club’s initiatives include comprehensive training programmes and mentoring sessions, designed to help players build confidence, teamwork skills, and discipline. The sponsorships will help cover registration fees and other costs for talented young players from low-income families, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their participation.
“Contributions can be made in various forms, including direct financial support, equipment donations, or services. In return for your support, sponsors will receive prominent recognition on team jerseys, and visibility through the club’s events, social media, and other media platforms, highlighting their commitment to social responsibility and community support. Additionally, there are opportunities for sponsors to engage directly with the young players through special events and tournaments,” said Reddy.
