South Africans between 18 and 35 years will be able to receive their Covid-19 vaccine from Friday, 20 August. The South African Government announced that the national vaccine rollout will be extended to this age group.

Twenty-two-year-old, Simphiwe Khumalo said he had been eagerly waiting to get the vaccine, and cannot wait for Friday. “Getting the vaccine will not only ensure that I am safe but will also ensure that the people around me are safe. Getting vaccinated is the right thing to do, I urge all people of my age group to get out in numbers to get their jab, this will save the country and decrease the death of people dying from this terrible pandemic,” said Khumalo.
