The Isithebe Women’s Conference, which is currently underway for the month of August, held its official opening on 7 and 8 August with a spectacular treat for the ladies courtesy of Makoti Life and Style.

“The opening was held at the Virtue Nail and beauty spa where the ladies were treated to a therapeutic healing while receiving spa treats. This also enabled the powerful ladies to build character and self-esteem,” said Lethiwe Dlamini Shabalala, event organiser and founder and director of Makoti Life and Style. This was followed by a dialogue between Makoti and Mamezala, where the focus was on teaching women basic food preparation from traditional cuisine to modern cooking. “The modern cooking class was facilitated by Newcastle’s born-and-raised international chef, Mr Siyathemba, and Chef Shongwe of The Food Pulse. The women were pampered and went home relaxed, refreshed and replenished,” said Shabalala. The next event will focus on developing women who are aspiring to be entrepreneurs and community developers.
