For the month of love this February, Calvary Seventh Day Adventist women’s group visited the Sahara Shelter for abused women and their children to spend some quality time with them.
Leader of the group, Colleen Reuben said, “It was an honour for the ladies to be there, praying and singing with the ladies and kids at the shelter.
“The group donated grocery items and clothes to the shelter. Previously, the women’s group reached out to the children in the paediatric ward at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital where little goodie bags were handed to little ones and prayer was offered.”
The women’s ministry group which aims to uplift children and women, helping them achieve their full potential in the community plans to have various other programmes within the community of Phoenix.
