In a celebration of women’s empowerment, Rainham’s Tarryn Debideen was recently crowned Mrs Bollywood Queen 2025. The pageant took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in uMhlanga on Sunday, 27 July.

Debideen, a 36-year-old home executive, said she was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. “All the late nights, hard work, and sacrifices suddenly became worth it. Standing there with the crown placed on my head, I couldn’t stop smiling through my tears, knowing this was the beginning of a beautiful new journey. This journey was inspired by women empowerment – a cause close to my heart. I believe that when women are given opportunities, resources and confidence, they can transform not only their own lives, but entire communities.”

She said winning the title so close to Women’s Month felt deeply personal to her. “It is a symbol of every challenge I’ve faced, every moment I doubted myself and every time I chose to keep going. Standing here now, I feel proud not only for myself but for every woman who’s ever felt unseen or unheard. This win reminds me why I fight for women’s empowerment so that every girl knows she is enough, she is worthy and she is capable of achieving anything she dreams of doing.”

Debideen’s philosophy, she explained, is to always lead with love and kindness. “I believe every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow and every success is a chance to inspire others. Staying true to myself, keeping faith, and embracing gratitude are what guide me to live a meaningful and purposeful life.”

In her spare time, Debideen spends time with her family and friends, who she says keep her grounded and inspired.
