Tragedy struck over the weekend when a man, believed to be in his 30s, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Edwin Swales Drive, just before South Coast Road, on Sunday, 12 October.
ALS Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that the vehicle had lost control and collided with a concrete bridge.

“The driver and apparently the only occupant of the vehicle, was found ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics assessed the man, believed to be in his 30s, however, he had sustained major injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene,” said Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics.
Jamieson added that the circumstances leading up to the crash are not yet known. Investigations are ongoing and will be conducted by SAPS officers who attended the scene.
