Sunday, 28 September, ushered in tragedy when a female motorist was killed in a head-on collision on Underwood Road near Hans Detman Road in Pinetown.
ALS Paramedics responded to the scene and spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said on arrival, paramedics found carnage as they found that two vehicles had collided head on.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that one of the drivers, a female believed to be in her forties, had sustained fatal injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do for her and she was declared deceased on the scene. Two occupants from the second vehicle had sustained serious injuries and once stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics, they were transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required,” Jamieson added.
According to Jamieson, the events leading up to the crash are unknown and will be further investigated by SAPS who were on scene.
